Workshop
Stimming refers to movements, behaviours or vocalisations used for self-regulation, which have a calming or stimulating effect. We all engage in stimming, but for neurodivergent people, who process sensory input differently, stimming is particularly important for their wellbeing.
Dr Aby Watson invites you to take part in Stim-Improvisation – a body-centred, creative practice of sensory exploration and spontaneous composition. Through exercises involving movement, objects and the voice, you can follow your sensory curiosity and engage with rhythm and repetition.
The workshop is open to everyone, whether or not you identify as neurodivergent. You don’t need any prior experience – just a willingness to play and discover new things.
