Shanghai Film Week – Restaurierte Klassiker des Shanghaier Kinos
WOMAN DEMON HUMAN (1987) and A SOUL HAUNTED BY PAINTING (1994) tell the stories of female artists seeking their own path amidst societal expectations, artistic expression and female self-determination.
This double bill offers the opportunity to rediscover two significant works of Chinese cinema in restored versions on the big screen.

Both films will be screened in the original Chinese version with Chinese and English subtitles.
