Berlin premiere
The guitarist and singer Raphael Gimenes brings together several musical influences in his musical language: the music of his native Brazil and the influence of Denmark, which he has called home for almost two decades. In his songs, he effortlessly blends South American rhythms with jazz styles.

The title of his new album, ‘Caçador de Horizontes’ (Hunter of Horizons), says it all: in his songs, Gimenes explores physical and inner horizons of all kinds, opening up new ways of listening in the process. The artist’s fourth album continues a journey characterised by the musical exploration of identities, places and landscapes. Inspired by journeys across the American continent, Raphael Gimenes alternates in his music between intimate moments and grand instrumental passages, thereby creating a cinematic and emotionally stirring atmosphere.
With “Caçador de Horizontes”, this project reaches its greatest and most ambitious scale to date, unfolding into a captivating musical journey. Raphael Gimenes and his fellow musicians, Flavia Huarachi and Jan Kadereit, can now be seen in Berlin for the first time with their concert “Caçador de Horizontes”.
