How should furniture be designed to bring people closer together? Can pieces of furniture become tools that help people interact more easily? Furniture as objects that prompt action, suggesting ways in which people can turn towards one another?

People of all ages are invited to explore these questions during a joint afternoon session.
In a collective design process, participants will work with various recycled materials to create models of what we call ‘TOGETHER FURNITURE’. Furniture that encourages curiosity and openness, fostering encounters and shared moments.
‘Together-Furniture’ works to turn gaps into bridges.
The results will be presented as a shop-window exhibition at ‘Die Fuge’ and will serve as creative inspiration for the construction of a ‘meeting bench’, which will in future invite people to come together at the Heinrich Böll Library.
