Tip 11: Watch a new adaptation of Horváth’s classic *Youth Without God*

Just how much crisis can a classroom actually cope with? In the new play *Die Fische* at the Theater Strahl , the school becomes a mirror of a society in upheaval. Loosely based on Ödön von Horváth’s “Youth Without God” , it tells the story of a dedicated teacher who wants to instil democratic values, empathy and independent thinking in her pupils. Yet increasingly authoritarian tendencies, peer pressure and social tensions make coexistence ever more difficult. Caught between conformity and resistance, the question arises: how much courage does it take to stand by one’s convictions? A highly topical, intense theatrical experience that encourages reflection and discussion – not just for young people!

When: Friday, 11.00 am
Where: Theater Strahl am Ostkreuz, Marktstraße 11, Lichtenberg
